We follow the CDC guidelines and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend you get the flu vaccine, especially if you are pregnant or have a newborn at home during the flu season. This is the best way to protect your own health and the health of the baby. We do have the 2016 vaccine in the office. We charge a total of $25 for the vaccine and the administration. We would be glad to provide a note if you need this to receive the vaccine at work. We are happy to vaccinate your family member or partner if they have no contraindications.
Handwashing is important to avoid colds and flu. Sneeze or cough into your elbow to avoid transmisson of virus.
Avoiding flu is just as important in our patients who are over 65 years of age. Please see "Flu in Seniors" for more information about this.
