Amber Coon, MD, FACOG
started with Devine ObGyn in 2015
Dr. Coon writes:
Born and raised in Roswell, NM, I was the first member of my family to attend college. I did so at Texas Tech University, where I fell in love with West Texas, as well as with my husband Murphy after meeting in an undergraduate Biology course. Murphy is originally from Brownfield, TX and is also a graduate of Texas Tech. I continued my medical education here in Lubbock at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, during which time Murphy and I married in 2007. After graduation, we made the decision to move to Denver for my four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Colorado to ensure a wide breadth and depth of training. After completion of residency in 2014, Murphy and I came back home to Lubbock and I had the honor of joining the wonderful team here at Devine ObGyn in July of 2015. Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) was completed in January 2017. Murphy and I have been blessed with two wonderful little girls; Abigail and Loralei.
I have a true passion and commitment for providing outstanding medical care to the women of West Texas in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. My goal is individualized, compassionate care that is founded in solid current medical knowledge.
